This wireless driveway alarm is an extremely popular item due to its ease of installation: only a screw driver and several minutes are needed. Mount the sensor on a solid object that is 2 to 4 feet high and point the sensor's adjustable 20 to 60-foot beam across the driveway. To complete the installation, plug the receiver in a standard 110 volt wall outlet.
The DWA-6-1000 will utilize an Radio Frequency module of 418 - 430 MHZ to achieve a greater consistent range of up to 1000 feet. This model also comes with an exclusive Z-Bracket to provide greater ease of installation as well as versatility for sensor positioning. The receiver has three volume controlled tones to monitor different areas.
The DWA-6-1000-VL will utilize an Radio Frequency module of 418- 430 MHZ to achieve a range of up to 1000 feet. This model does not come with the Z-Bracket of The DWA-6-1000 , therefore the sensor positioning is not as versatile. The receiver has three volume controlled tones to monitor different areas.
The outside housing is completely weatherproof with UV resistant polymers in both housing and lens for a longer life than most other driveway alarm on the market, requiring no maintenance other than changing a 9-volt battery once each year.
The sensor is triggered by moving vehicles and individuals walking through its beam. When the path is disturbed, the receiver will sound an adjustable volume for approximately three seconds.
Other applications of the outside sensor could be monitoring the backyard or swimming pool, as well as guarding against gas thieves, etc. It may also be used as the home's outside sensor to monitor when you are away. It may also be hooked up to other accessories. The receiver has a standard form "c" relay that is a low-current, dry-relay contact closure for triggering virtually unlimited applications such as lights, timers, pagers, phone dialers, sirens, strobe lights, existing lights, remote beepers in other buildings, etc. Most of these options may be completed wireless or with very simple hardwiring.
